Most horrific RPG you ever played, but couldn't put it down!

Star Ocean: till the end of time annoyed the hell out of me for some reason couldn't finish it... and while on the whole RPG subject, for some reason I never finished FF8. I was pretty much @ the end (so I think) and I just stopped playing it. When I finally felt like playing again, I didn't think I would know what was happening so I just stopped.
RPG's annoy me too much to try finishing them if I don't like them. I still have FFX-2 in plastic because Guitar Hero has been taking up my gaming time.

Yeah VIII has a great ending. Some great sidequests do. Although why the fuck is there no reward for beating Omega Weapon? I was expecting the 'Super Ultimate Master One Hit KO Weapon of All Time' or something...

As for this thread, well i have an easy answer. Lotr The Third Age for the PS2. Don't worry, i didn't buy it, but i got a loan of it off a friend and it was shit but i kept playing it.

SMRPG was never released in Europe - i'm sure i speak for all Europeans when i say release the damn thing on Virtual Console!

There is in fact a reward for beating Omega. You get a little badge or something that says "You beat Omega Weapon."

i played an RPG a long time ago called Wild Arms 2. i thought it was an excellent RPG then. although I didn't beat it (i didnt play thorugh the game well, and my party SUCKED at the end battles) so re rented it recently and played through some of it, and then i realized that it wasnt as good as i thought it was (still a great game none the less, i recommend it everyone)

Ive never beaten FF8. I got to the end a bunch of times..then just stopped playing it. I still have it, i just..idk..the whole draw system just pisses me off.

Final Fantasty 10, Bad cut senes, stupid speech, and a very bad lvling and bosses you would have to train for hours for, yet it still says on my memory card : FF-X Play Time: 63:24....
