Ugh....this is frustrating.
I've been excited about this league, but I'm leaving for college tomorrow and I can't bring my PS2 with me yet.
Not sure when I'll be able to get it into my dorm room, but for now I'm assuming I'm out for the first 2 weeks at least. And even if I do get my PS2 there, my playing time will be VERY limited.
So with that said...........GOGO IRC players!!! _________________

So what do we need to get in the next round? Is just 5 stars enough on all of these? I'll never be able to FC any of them (but especially Electric Eye and Los Angeles)
Good luck all! (I'm in OB BTW) |

Everyone will participate in the 1st 4 weeks, the group only gets smaller for playoffs. |

I'll never be able to get EE. I just need to try and get the best score out of everyone else who can't get it.
Radar Love is one I'm happy with, it shouldn't be too hard. Just a squeezefest.
I haven't even ever tried FCing Lonley is the night, but it doesn't look too bad.
The SP is hard to get down in Los Angeles.
Just my take on this week's songs. |

Oh yeah, bring it on!
I think the ghevents site will be wonderful - much faster for culling results, I think, and not a zillion PMs to go through. It's also easier for us to input and re-input scores as we improve through the week!
For all the newbies, welcome! Here's the main strategic piece of advice I had to figure out on my own: practice, practice and check notecharts and Practice Mode some more. You want to do your absolute best in the first two weeks, because that's when you can do the most points at once. There's always more and more dropping off and not submitting scores in later weeks, and since max score is directly dependent on how many scores are submitted that week, you can have fewer and fewer chances to go up by a lot in the last weeks.
I haven't touched Hard on 80s since the sightread contest... this should be fun. To those who were in B1 and B2 last season, I am looking at beating you this time! I'm talking to you, Keeper, RocketMan and Cornpop1. _________________

I won't go into the full details, but every week will be weighted equally from now on. The scoring system has been reworked for this season. |
