That's not a unique game feature. Crono Trigger had it as well (and that game, my friends, is better then all FF games, if not just for the lack of annoying cult following) |

Nah.
But I admit to being more of a Squeenix fan in general than a hardcore FF fan. There are some FF's I haven't played (although the ones I have played, I like em all), but I also love SO, KH/KH2, Chrono Trigger as mentioned by Matt, going oldschool, Secret of Mana, etc... I just <3 Squaresoft games in general. And admittedly, I can kinda symapthize with where Matt's coming from WRT the more rabid portions of the FF fanbase.

<3 Secret of Mana <3
I have a save with all level 9 forged weapons, everyone leveled with all weapons and spells up to 8:99 (since you can't actually reach level 9). There are new spell animations that randomly start being cast as you approach level 9, most people probably never notice.
It took _forever_ to get all the extra 9th level orbs to drop in the final fortress. And obviously my character levels are also maximized. _________________

out of any squaresoft game, my favorite (outside of FF7) would have to be Einhander. i love the look and feel of the game, the music, and the fact that its actually difficult at times. plus the bosses are awesome. _________________

SOM is amazing, especially playing online on the ZSNES emulator! _________________

Seiken Densetsu 3 was better than SoM. It's a shame it never got an American release. If you've never played it, download the rom. They have an english patch for it. It's amazing. _________________

I have also played that on my ZNES emulator. I liked it a lot, I just never finished it, thanks for the reminder though.
But, I don't get what we're supposed to be roasting? _________________

I hear that Castlevania : SotN is getting an XBox 360 live release soon - I'll definitely be dropping some Xbucks on that one - I bought the SF2 game when it came out, and spent a few fun days playing online SF2 (Ken FTW!!!) |

In 2006, Konami announced an Xbox 360 port of the PlayStation version of Symphony of the Night, to be distributed via the Xbox Live Arcade. It is planned for release sometime in the Winter season of 2006, which could potentially extend into early 2007.[4]

Google is replete with articles about it - I never played the original (well - I played it for a while on a PSX emulator, but it's not the same thing), so I'm looking forward to this |
