All false score reports should be sent via PM. _________________

So, I guess things are going to be more complicated with this SP Meter glitch thing, right?
I mean, the site is probably going to get a lot of unintentional high scores that were achieved by it.
Best of luck to the mods or whoever. _________________

Is there a way to make a person submitting a score, say in the top 25, to be required to have proof (i.e. a photo of the newspaper) of the accomplishment? That would leave the best of the best not having to worry about it... |

this has been discussed a lot over time, and the general agreement is that most of the people submitting high scores either have a camera or a good reputation around here, so we trust them.
if someone with no scores comes along posting #1 scores on everything, especially when we know a higher score is pretty much impossible (at least by the amounts they choose...), then either PM an admin, or they will notice, and the scores will either be deleted if they are outragous, or a message will be sent to the user asking for some form of proof, yada yada yada.
as far as requiring proof, you really can't do that because a lot of people don't have cameras, like me, but i have several high scores without pictures. if someone had a problem, i could borrow a camera from someone and take a picture of my setlist to ease their worries, but that doesn't really happen.
Hope I answered your questions _________________

I was just waiting for all the people that get GH1/2 for Xmas and start putting up false scores. Maybe my patience with people is less than stellar. I hope everything goes well. |

your patience may be thin, but reasonably so.
but fear not! for several people have tried, and nobody succeeds, unless they put false scores in to make themselves 50th, which is lame... _________________

Edit: report removed. Guess you didn't bother to read any of the thread, hmmm? DO NOT REPORT SUSPECTED FALSE SCORES ON THE FORUMS! And in this case, the score you reported is perfectly valid anyway. --Riz. |
