Posted: Wed Oct 31, 2007 7:05 pm Post subject: Guitar Hero 3 DLC Discussion Topic (New Song Info) |
|
|
This will be the official topic to discuss all Downloadable Content that comes through Guitar Hero 3. That way we won't have millions of "ZOMG NEW DLC" topics. Because hopefully we'll actually have new DLC more often. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH
Rules!!!!
1. No Console Wars. I don't care if PS2 is better, I don't care if 360 is better. This is just discussion alright.
2. THIS IS NOT A WISHLIST THREAD! Keep all wishes about DLC to the Wishlist thread.
... That's pretty much it. Just keep your bitterness about PS2 and Wii's lack of DLC to yourselves.
I shall update the OP with DLC News when it comes up.

Tina is fun, and I'm about to play the AFI song. I think Flyleaf is terrible, but this song isn't as bad as I expected. Might be one of their best few songs. Not too hard but fun.
The Manson song is haaaard.
edit: and terrible. I was just hoping it was the intro. The song is way too hard, for me at least. I'm sure someone will sightread FC it, but I give up. The song is horrendous, absolutely the worst out of the pack.
The AFI song wasn't bad. Believe it or not I'de say the Flyleaf song was the best, then the AFI song, then the Manson song. I'm not joking when I say Yes We Can, Red Lottery, and Sept are all 5x as fun and 10x as fun to listen to compared to the Manson song. _________________

When you say "lack of DLC on the Wii" you mean "for now" ... right? I'll be forced to voice my discontent if it never comes...
Either way, it's a shame that the content wasn't amazing. Not exactly worth the price of the soundtrack? |

I just went to submit my score, but I guess the site isn't prepared for the DLC yet. |

Wow the Manson song would be amazing if it actually had any variety at all in it. Why the same thing over and over? And why doesn't it have any notes in the section in between? Do they know they're allowed to map non-guitar notes for the purposes of a video game?
It's like they just stuck CoP's solo for the entire song and nothing else. And then put some space in between to fill up time. |

This question is aimed at the mods mostly (since they'd probably know) and it's a common idea that Barfo has brought up every now and then: are there possibly any plans or considerations by Neversoft to release slimmed down expansion disks containing a collection of DLC once a good amount of DLC is released? It would be nice to have for us PS2 owners. If not, oh well. There's always Rock Band. |

I'm still waiting to get my CD from Amazon (was just under $13, with shipping fees). And I'm wondering if this DLC would be available on XBL with out the need for buying this CD soundtrack? Would probably have been cheaper just to buy it with microsoft points. DLC's in the past were only 500p for 3 songs.
Though a couple weeks ago there's three separate DLC songs for GH2 that are 200p each. Anyone bother checking those out yet? |
