Wow, impressive. I've been working towards 47 5's on Hard but I've been stuck at 40/6/1 for what feels like forever.

Way to go. I still need 5 more, and The Breaking Wheel is still on 3 stars, so that'll probably take me forever too.

42/47 ***** on HARD (**** for the others) ! Btw, it's great to see so many people with a common goal and facing the same difficulties joining discusions like this ! This site wouldn't be the same without a forum. SONGS LEFT : Texas Flood / Cowboys From Hell / Bark At The Moon / The Breaking Wheel / Fly On The Wall

I'm almost there too, 46/47 on hard, only the stupid breaking wheel remains, and I just barely made it to 4 stars on that yesterday. Texas flood was pretty hard, until I figured out to save star power for that long run of orange notes at the end, keep your streak and rockout through that and 5 stars is not far away.

I just got through my last 3 5 stars in the past hour, Texas Flood, CBFH, and BATM, in that order too. I don't understand why I got Texas Flood easier than the other two, maybe because I suck at double strumming with mixing notes and chords like BATM, or because I just can't single strum that fast.

Regardless, it's DONE! now I can get back to working on those friggin songs on expert...yippee...

EDIT: Now that I look at my scores, after being stuck just below the thresholds, once I beat them, I really beat em, did that happen with anybody else?

Congrats, you two!

I just finished getting 5 stars on all the Hard songs tonight. No One Knows was the last one I 5-starred, but that's only because it had been a long time since I played it. The Breaking Wheel was the one I had most trouble with; took about 6 or 7 tries. It felt so good to 5-star Cowboys and Bark at the Moon.

Now I'm gonna go back and play through all the regular (non-bonus) songs. It's been awhile since I played most of them on Hard; I know I can improve my overall Hard score significantly.

I'm in the same boat as you, Mike... in fact, my name is also Mike. I've pretty much resigned myself to learning hammer-ons and pull-offs before I get Texas Flood. I'll try some of that tonight.

Trust me, you don't need hammer-ons and pull-offs to 5 star Texas Flood on Hard.

I'm still pretty far away. I haven't had time to play in a while. Spring break is in 2 weeks, though!

It seems every time I pick up the guitar the game gets a little bit easier. It wasn't long ago when any song on hard would kick my ass, but now I'm only one song away from completing every song on hard (I hate the Breaking Wheel!), and in fact I'm finding when I try hard songs I only 3-starred before, many of them are easy to 5-star now.

I have 5* all the way up to the final set of licensed songs (Godzilla, Frankenstein, etc.) on hard. I 5* Godzilla fairly easily, but the rest are all 3*. These songs are straight up killing me! Any advice? I feel like I'm getting a lot better, but I'm a long ways off from that crazy first riff of BAtM. I guess I better practice alternate strumming it.
