Yeah...that does suck. I'm sure you can do it again but if you can't, the door's wide open for everyone else. Again, it's great that the songs are randomly decided each week for this reason, but I do wonder if people will just start hoarding all of their high scores and FCs...
The other thing I've been wondering about is if people are going to be a bit more protective of their SP strategies. There are still a bunch of songs in the song FAQs forum that don't have great strategies (if any) posted, and I think it'd be cool if it stayed that way. I'm sort of a hypocrite since I posted one today, but oh well.
Oh, and Javman, what happens if your TI-89 picks one of the same songs next week?

Since this league is shorter, there will be no repeats of songs at all, unless it is voted for with a twist on it. Since later leagues may be longer, repeats are a possibility, but there will be no repeats within a set time frame (2 or 3 weeks, for example).
As for posting scores, I'd prefer scores be kept secret, as that makes it much more interesting in my opinion, since you have to decide if a score is good enough for you or not based solely on your ability/want to improve on a song, whereas if scores are posted you can go "ok, I'm beating ES/pope/etc on this song, so I should be ok." That's just my preference though, you are completely at your leisure to do what you want with them. |

I also won't be competing, I'll be on vacation so I won't be able to be putting up league scores for a few of the weeks (read: like 12 songs).

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to join this league later. I'm dropping out for now too. I'm leaving Japan in the next few days to come back to the U.S. and I have some odds and ends to take care of...don't really have the time to participate in this right now. Probably won't be able to until after the first week in January when I'm back in Japan again. I think this league is a great idea, but it's just bad timing for me right now. Hopefully I can jump into it in a couple weeks.

| I'm gonna' stay in this league but I'm likely not gonna' live up to potential. I usually play on hyper speed but there's a local tournament coming up (YAY) that I have to get ready for. They're not using hyper speed so I'm trying to ease myself back into playing on normal. I likely won't be getting the scores I could manage normally but I'll stick around. |
