Rock band for PS2?

Okay so i've checked out the official rock-band website...and they only have the Game itself for Ps2 not any of the features or instruments. If i were to buy the ps3 bundle would the instruments still work for the ps2? Cause seriously what the hell is thep oint n making it for ps2 if their onlyg oing to make just the game and not the instruments...Someone lemme know if there is a ps2 rock band bundle (instruments) or if there is only the game out!
