I was hoping SH would do something like this, maybe with RSS... something like You have moved to xth place on y difficulty, the spread is now z points...then people would be able to use something like RSStoemail or RSStoSMS so they could receive updates on their phones/etc.... |

To people who don't know: You can use this XML feed to for example display your scores at guitarhero.com in your own web site. It's pretty neat. _________________

I have next to no knowledge about coding or xml. I got my link here:
http://www.guitarhero.com/accounts/feed/28113.xml
, but how do I turn that link into an image to display in my sig on this site and others? _________________

I am currently working on something like that, should have a demo in the next two days. I am gonna try to make it similar to like how gamercards for the 360 work. I already made the background code for reading the xml, just need to make the front-end fancy image stuff. |

I'm one of the stat freaks who's been tracking performance and progress ever since I got my GH2 earlier this year. Now with the XML feed, I don't have to manually enter the information any more. The guy who created the http://www.schier.eu/ website did a great job of taking the feed creating a usable presentation.
I would love to be part of a forum group to discuss scripts and programs used to capture our Guitar Hero stats. Is it too proprietary to ask Score Hero to accept the XML input to capture our scores instead of manual input? I have noticed their are a few glitches with the XML file that need to be worked out, but it sounds like the tech staff is working on them.
I'm one of the few "senior" GH rockers I've come across (45+). I remember playing air guitar to some of the classic rock songs before most of the people on this site were even born. |

one of the users at GH.com made a nice for the XML feed. It does many of things this site does with score data. Even created a little stat image too. Here's mine:
This site of the person create is at http://www.schier.eu/
It does to one thing this site does not. It has an option to show a bar graph of scores. An interesting twist. _________________
