It's just generally rough to play with.
-Frets need to be pressed too deep.
-Shape is uncomfortable
-Often unresponcive

Select button is smaller than my pinky finger's nail.
Whammy is very unresponsive and most of the time, late.

The other problem with the x-plorer is that it is very hard/uncomfortable to play while sitting down.

I like mine as well. My Les Paul on the other hand is a piece of crap.

SG > X-plorer > Les Paul

I just recently switched from the LP (my Wii's Les Paul broke) to the X-Plorer, and there are ups and downs. The pro is that it works. The cons, like others have said, are that you have to push the buttons much harder than you do for the LP, you have to push them further to get them to register, the shape is awkward and uncomfortable, and on mine, the buttons tend to stick somewhat. It just doesn't feel like the fretboard moves very quickly, especially compared to when my LP was working.

Personally, I'm thinking about either buying GH3 for the 360 so I can use the LP again, or just waiting until next month when they start selling the LPs individually, same result. In any event, I hate the x-plorer, but I keep using it because it actually works.

Alright, let's review.

1) You're using numbers in place of words.
2) You're spelling at the second grade level.
3) You're posting in CAPS.
4) This post is in the wrong place, and should have been in Software.

Conclusion: Custom songs are not your "cup of tea", and I'd suggest undertaking a much more simpler hobby. Perhaps tree watching.

I don't like the Explorer for a couple reasons... the first, and most important, is the Select button being both tiny and indented into the body so I can't press it with my palm... and 2nd, the frets don't move as smoothly as I'd like... I like a good SG the best, and I like the LP too (the Wii one that I play on is actually quite good), but the Explorer just bugs me

I seem to be able to move my fingers a bit quicker on the X-Plorer and Im better at fast strumming passages on it, But I hate the whammy bar it doesn't keep still and is very loose.

I like my explorer alot, though when the LP's are good, they're great. It's awesome on Wii. And I liked the kramer alot too. But my xplorer is still really new (Just over a month now) so everything is sweet and responsive.

Sounds like your baby needs to be enrolled in LD.

I hate the xblower, like everyone else said - buttons are hard to press, strum bar is whacked, shape is just awkward, tilt sucks, select sucks, and the whammy bar needs some viagra because it just hangs loosely after a few days.

Well, no, not really. See, with the banana, you have the choice to eat it soon after buying it, avoiding the rotting situation and enjoying some tasty food while it's fresh. The situation with Bat Country, on the other hand, is venting over an inevitability. It's more like "Death, taxes, and 12-year-olds overplaying Avenged Sevenfold songs online."

Ever hear the saying don't believe everything you read?

I've owned 2 Xplorers, 2 Les Pauls, and 3 Stratocasters. The RB Strats are the worst piece of rubbish I've ever had the unfortunate chance to play. My current one sits in a layer of dust in a corner. The Les Paul is really very good, I like it for the most part the best. That is until the removable neck starts messing up and the frets start missing notes... Hopefully my second one will last longer than the first. One Xplorer the whammy bar got really loose, and would not stay where I placed it, otherwise it worked great.

The other Xplorer is the one I still use the most, and has been the most reliable guitar I've yet used. It feels a little light, and the crap placement of the select button I hated at first, but once I got used to tilting to activate start power, without breaking my combo, I can cope with it now.

If I just want to play, I usually grab the Les Paul, I like not dicking around with the wires... but If I am really working on getting a better score on something, I definitely get the Xplorer out. Not sure if it's because it's wired, or what, but ultimately I just do better using that guitar. I miss less notes, have longer streaks, and a LOT more FCs using that guitar.

I play sitting down, and have never had a problem with the Xplorer being uncomfortable. To the contrary, I find the 90 degree edge on the Les Paul body EXTREMELY uncomfortable, my arm hurting because of it, is usually what ends my sessions. The bevel on the Xplorer is way more comfortable. I use a guitar strap, even sitting, and never have a problem with comfort using the Xplorer.

It's funny, I hated the looks of it, but the White RedOctane PS2 controller is the best wireless controller I've ever used. It did bug me that it wasn't modeled after a real guitar, but it functioned flawlessly. I never cared for the SG.

I've seen many people on here state the SG is the best controller ever. I'd take an Xplorer over an SG any day. It's all a matter of personal preference. If my new Les Paul starts messing up, I'll probably get a 2nd Xplorer again and just ditch the Les Paul model altogether.

Whoever thought up that removable neck crap, needs one shoved up their ass.
