Ok, I've had it with the strum bar being squeaky. Lately I've had to clean it about every other day or so, because it keeps getting worse. Is there anything that I can put in the guitar to make it stop squeaking?

WD40 my friend. 1 spray every 2 months keeps my strumbar nice and smooth.

I put vaseline on it once and it never squeaked again.

do you open it up to spray it? I had it open the other day and I didn't think to lube it up. it does drive me nuts when it squeaks though.

Do you just lube the metal rod that holds it in?

Yep, nothing too complicated. You'll need a decently small Phillips head screwdriver to take off the circuit board though. Something I don't have...
