wow my new GHWT guitar is double-strumming or not at all

i started noticing this problem when i was playing monsoon, my guitar double strummed a held note screwing up my fc run, then in the intro of my next playthrough my strum didn't even register the note. WTF? is there a fix for this?

design flaw, no known fixes apparently. if you feel brave enough, you could "try" bending one of the metal prongs whichever way.*

Having the exact same Issue here on the downstrum. The strummer only sometimes clicks and when its does its at the very bottom of the travel of the strummer. Most of the time it doesnt click at all and then no strum. Upstrum seems to work perfect with consistent clicks. I guess there is no real fix. I can easily exchange it but sounds like its a bad design and a new one probably won't be much better.

as i posted in another thread, i tried the velcro mod and made the strumming problem worse. but then i realized only my downstrum was broken, so i turned the board around so that a downstrum registered as up. it seems to be working so far, no problems.
