Hey guys new to these forums and I am having a issue with Ghex

I dont get what I did wrong in the instructions to no be able to see the ark file....I can see the other one though in the GEN folder. I guess I didnt download something right in the beginning. It's not like im using linux or something(i have windows xp prof service pack 2). Anyone have ne adivce?

The guide is wrong. You are supposed to locate the MAIN.HDR file, not the MAIN_0.ARK file.

In ghex, you have to select the .hdr file, not the .ark.

well then i am having a prob with the cd/dvd rom gen. I get this error trying to drag drop the gen file.

ERROR: File opening error: (blah blah blah)\guitar hero2\GEN\MAIN_0.ARK

nvm got it.. lol I just stuck it in my C: and it was fine... silly me.

EDIT**

Ok new issue. I know its not my CD or buring tools cuz I made a working burned copy of GH2 last night and I used the same method to try to make this one...so rule that out.

But my swap wont read my disk... i was thinking it had something to do with the cd/dvd generator... i mean i have all the files inside of the gen folder (is that how its supposed to be) and I did it in the order in the guide... i duno what I did wrong any ideas?

Look at your original game disc for the file layout.
