I like the donor star you've added JC!
But the big question is: What's the 5* cutoff? _________________

Yeah, I thought I'd give a little extra recognition for those who have donated, since there's often an excess of unused contribution points and I'd like to be able to give something back in return.
For those interested, the "cutoffs" are as follows:
= $5
= $10
= $25
= $50
= $100
The images follow the same progression as our extended ratings system. When I created the blue, 8-star image, I had also developed one for 9-stars considering it as a possibility (Riz is personally responsible for requesting that color, btw). But now seeing that it's highly unlikely, I've found another use for the image.
I also plan to add something to the forum rank area on every post for further recognition.
Thanks everyone!
EDIT: I'll make this an announcement for a bit _________________

Donor ratings are now shown beside your names within posts. You may also hover over a star to see more details. _________________

I think you should add each star earned. So say I donated $25. I would get the stars to look like this:
This way, any forumer could realize that he/she has donated more by the number of stars rather than just the color. Because know I know people like me are too lazy to find out how much that color star is worth. |

The multiple stars stacking is a great idea. I concur with mbsurfer. _________________

the only problem with this is that it shows up at the bottom of the index where it shows everybody that's online. it might be a little confusing. _________________

Does that mean the purple star is the image for 9 stars on a song? _________________
