you know, for the times i have been here, i have seen some pretty interesting names, and one question i frequently had is "Why the hell did you choose that name?"

I chose my name because one day i was playing SH2 (Shadow Hearts 2) and one of the monsters you could morph inot was called shuttindouji or something like that, but i had mispelled it the first time i enterd it, so here i am with it...end of story

Derivative of the word "Echelon", because I thought it sounded neat (yes, I pronounce my name in the same manner).

HylianHero. Derived from Legend of Zelda.

...I don't really think I needed to explain that one, but I felt that I needed to be a part of this conversation.

Even I don't remember the exact origin of the Krimsun Munkey. I was bored in Computer/Tech class last year (it was all typing, nothing interesting), and a friend and I began to create a comic book/t.v. superhero. He even had his own theme song! I don't remember exactly what triggered the thought process. I just remember the result. After the semester, we were done with Comp/Tech and we stopped communicating, and I adopted the name as an online identity.

Some sites have wierd restrictions for usernames, like no capitals, no spaces, no underscores, etc., and I end up having to enter user info 15 times to get a username that works. I just decided to skip the crap and keep it simple. That's why it is lowercased without a space. The "s" refers to the band name that I put in the game.

Edward Teach is Blackbeard (the pirates) real name. It is actualy Edward Drummond, but when he began his life into piracy he took on the surname Teach. The 666 is because he was regarded as being the devils son.

Partially butchering the english language, and partially just because.

A fuller explaination. I've always been known as somewhat insane, (and, yes, actually spent some "quality time" in a nice quiet place once.) Crazy = off-center = Askew. There's only one of me, I hope.
The butchering of the english language comes from the fact that I've yet to find "Askewed" as an actual word anywhere.
