Glad to hear some people using the game. Let me know if you song plays. Also if you could, it would be great if you could post a link to your song on my forums. If you can't host it anywhere online let me know and i could possibly host it myself. There is a song, submission/dowload, plan in the works for the site but the game and editor come first right now. |

hmm.. it seems that something isn't working as it should with that since that first link should work right. As long as the song and the gle file have the EXACT same names with different extensions it should work.. By default the game also looks in the the same diretory as it is in so try placing it there and see if it works.. |

Hi, I just wanted to say that I like the editor a lot. I'm almost done with "Fortunate Son" by CCR.
But I cannot get the game to work for the life of me. I updated my directx and downloaded the version with no shaders, but I still get the direct 3D driver message. I'm pretty sure I have a really out of date graphics. Is there anything I can do to get the game to work?
Thanks. _________________

thanks for the feedback dspoonrt.. Feel free to post a link to your song on my forums, or let me know and i could possible host it and put the link for you.
Hmm.. well heres a quick list of things you can do..
1. go into display properties and under settings->advanced make sure you have hardware acceleration all the way up
2. update graphics card drivers
3. install/reinstall directx 9.0c
if that doesn't work..
1.run dxdiag and test you graphics under display->test Direct3D... what version does it get to?
2. What is your graphics card?
Try this out and let me know how it goes/what happens. |

I'm thinking I'm finally gonna be able to finish AOBtD after school today, since it's the last day.

My drivers for my graphics card are up to date. It's an Intel 82810 by the way. I tested my Direct3D with DXDiag and it failed at Step 42 (Query for D3D) for DirectX 7, but successfully ran with DirectX 8 and 9. I don't really know if there's a problem. Any suggestions? _________________

Hmm well that is odd that it would fail on 7 and succeed on 8 and 9.. I checked the intel's site here and it seems your card and directx 9.0c dont completely work together..
One suggestion from their site is to change you color settings to 16-bit color and 640*480 resolution.
I am trying to find another solution but it seems that your card is old and even intel has limited support for it now so I may or may not be able to fix this problem.. |

Just wanted to give everyone an update on everything.. Once we get some more things done I will update the site and put the newer versions up. Currently we are working on implementing a few of the suggestions and fixing a few bugs. I am also writing a readme file for both the editor and the game. I shall post again once everything is ready and on the site. In the mean time I will be checking both here and on my site.
dspoonrt, I am still looking into a fix for your problem.
Genga, any luck with putting the songs in the same location as the game? |

Is that some sort of European expression or a typo? _________________
