The thing that bothers me now is companies seem to be more worried about graphics than anything else. I do acknowledge that every so often companies do actually try to enhance gameplay and story, but I've noticed that in the last six years the storylines of games have turned to complete crap, and the endings lack the old payoffs of the past. |
yeah and look at it now...the stories are getting dumber and the characters more annoying...(look at FFX-2) the only thing that is really advancing is the graphics...whopee |
Very true (FF X-2 can kiss my fat ass). I'm still waiting for FF III DS and FF V/VI Advance so that I can have the entire old-school FF series on the go. |

At this point it might be wise for game designers to get imput from the gamers that actually play the games. |

I've been pondering the question of geekness for the past 20 years.
Since the day my dad brought home an Atari 2600 when I was 10 and put it in the living room i've been addicted to video games almost to the point of unhealthy obsession.
As I've grown up, I've watched the industry change and I've changed with it. My hobbies have always some way or another coexisted with what the coolest new game gimmick was.
When shooters were all the rage I would play paintball on the weekend.
When racing games were the new niche I bought a gas powered RC car to race around.
When RPG's hit big, the time I didn't spend playing them was put to use with those crazy card games like Magic the Gathering and playing Dungeons and Dragons.
Now I've got a new vice and it's name is Guitar Hero. However, I don't think I'm gonna go out and get guitar lessons just because I think I can rock out, lol. |

Is that game 8-bit? And if so, is there a sprite sheet for it? _________________
