The Oregon Trail... IN 3D!

...Well it would have worked in 1996.

I freakin loved that game in elementary school. I hated catching Typhoid and crap like that, though.

This was the most frustrating part about The Oregon Trail:
Code:
The river is 4 feet deep. Would you like to attempt to ford the river?
Your attempt to ford the river has failed.
Joe has drowned.
Jane has drowned.
Bob has drowned.

... as if they couldn't just stand up.

My AP US last year told us that in the very very first version, which was text-based, when you went hunting you would enter the word "shoot" and it would randomly decide if you hit anything!

haha wow

Ahh, more classic PC games. I actually have Oregon Trail 2 somewhere... this was like my favorite game in 6th grade.

I was always so unlucky. I'd go hunting and the next thing I know, I shot myself and died. Eventually I got so pissed, I just started a new game and tried to kill everybody.
