Unfortunately, I was in no way prepared for the MASSIVE influx of requests. I had full intentions of keeping up with this thread and I tried, but in the end, it just turned out to be too much. Too many requests from users who made it their only post on the entire forums, lists far too long to be of any worth, etc. etc. In the end, college work is just more important than keeping up with a thread of requests, sorry guys.
I'd like to keep the thread open however for custom song makes to browse. I would suggest cross-referencing any request with the custom song index located at http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4664 . I'm keeping my initial first post in quotes below and would suggest that those requesting songs still try to follow some of the guidelines. Again, I apologize for my inability to keep up with all the requests. Please still use this thread for what you can...

Anybody is welcome to post his/her song ideas in this topic, however it should follow some basic rules/guidelines/etc.
1. MAKE YOUR REQUEST CLEAR : That is, try to follow the standard for naming songs. I personally have always used...
Artist - Title
(e.g. Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name Of). In fact, if your requests are not in this format, I may use my discretion and simply ignore it. This just makes it easier to understand exactly what song you're requesting, especially when mentioning bands we may not have heard of before. Not only that, but it helps me organize the thread when I only have to copy and paste instead of rewrite everything. If you want, you can let us know the qualities of the song that you think would make it a good fit for Guitar Hero. You can supply music with your request ONLY IF IT IS FROM A LEGAL SOURCE such as the band's website, myspace, etc..
2. UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR REQUEST MAY NOT BE FULFILLED... EVER : For all purposes of this topic, a request is simply a suggestion that can be used at somebody else's discretion. In the same vain, please do not post the same request more than once.
3. POST HERE IF YOU PLAN ON TAKING/ARE WORKING ON A REQUESTED SONG : Since people will be requesting songs, we won't necessarily want two people working on the same one. If you are going to take a request, please post here and let me know. I will put your name next to the request. Once the song is complete, I will remove it from the list all together. Also, if a song is requested and put on the list that has already been made, again let me know so I can remove it.
4. YOU CAN REQUEST A SONG THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN REQUESTED : Let me make that a little more clear. If you see a song on the list that you agree would be a great song, post and you may second/third/etc. the request. After each additional request, I will place an additional asterisk (*) next to the song title, moving the songs with the most asterisks to the top of the list. This will allow song makers to really gauge which songs people want to see the most. It will also make it so older, seemingly obsolete requests get pushed towards the bottom of the list.
5. LIMIT YOUR REQUESTS TO THE SONGS YOU TRULY WANT TO SEE : As you can see, I'm not placing a limit on the number of songs you can request. However, you should keep in mind that it is possible that people will put to use your requests and put time and effort into those songs. Try to limit your requests to only the songs you truly deem worthy of the effort put forth by the song makers on this forum.
6. TRY NOT TO REQUEST SONGS THAT ARE ALREADY BEING WORKED ON/HAVE ALREADY BEEN DONE : Before you place your request, read this first post and check that your song isn't already on here. You can, of course, second a request, but please do not request a song that is already being worked on. Also, please check the custom song index ( http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4664 ) to make sure your song has not already been completed in the past. If you do request a song that I know has been completed in the past, I may simply skip that request.
That's about it. Let the requests roll in.

I've got Expert almost done on Paradise City, half done on Fuel and I just started Holy Wars 
I really should only do one at a time, but sometimes you get stuck and frustrated. Eventually these three should have all four difficulties and probably be done in a couple weeks. |

That happened because, in that thread, requests were asked for and handled by the OP only, and he specifically stated that if there were too many requests, he would never get around to them. Well, guess what...there were way too many requests, and he had not touched the thread in a long time, so --- thread closed down according to his own originally stated terms.
However, this thread will stay (for now), since any and all songmakers are welcome to volunteer to take any requests within this thread and this thread alone, leaving it completely open-ended. Bizarbus' intentions are different, his rules are clearly stated, and until he decides differently, well...carry on.

| I understand the concern about tons of requests guys, but I believe that as long as I run through the thread once a day, I'll be able to keep things under control. However, you guys are right about somebody requesting 15 songs and them all getting the same recognition... so I'm going to edit my first post to allow people to second requests that have already been made (and third, fourth, etc...) After each additional request for that song is made, it will get a star. (*) This way, we'll be able to keep track of which songs people really want to see and not just the songs one person wants. |
