I have the wireless Red Octane Explorer guitar. It strums when I don't even touch the damn thing. I'm guessing this is just from over-use.

I have NO idea how to go about fixing it. I don't have the receipt so I can't return it. Would somebody be able to guide me in what to look for to fix it?

I'm guessing its a new problem, not since you first bought it?

No, it just started. I've opened up my old controller, and I know how to take it apart and put it back together and all. But I don't know what to look for as far as a problem. Suggestions?

I've had my guitar for a month and a half now. I don't play the game overly much, and I've found that my strum bar is double strumming on me. Anywhere from 7-20 times a song. As it has been such a short amount of time I'm reluctant to buy a new one. I'm hoping that if somebody helps out poor MDCLXX, I'll be saved aswell!

Rob, does it only strum green notes when it's not supposed to? If that's the case, it may have been something I've heard about several times before with the RO Wireless controller, but I can't be 100% sure what the bug exactly is or if it's been confirmed. I know Echelar has the wireless controller, so I'll ask him later. This just sounds awfully familiar to me.

I've heard the wireless RO will ghost strum when it's batteries are low. You didn't mention if you had changed the batteries. If not, it's worth a shot. Again, this is just what I've read: I can't find the damn thing around here or I'd own one :\

Yeah, try changing the batteries. I've heard the same thing.
As for the double strumming, try adding adding the strum bar velcro mod.

I've had this happen.. but usually while at my friend's house and using two of the wireless guitars at once. It'll strum by itself for no reason, and occasionally hit green for no reason.

No idea what causes it, or how to fix it.

I'll try changing the batteries. I haven't in quite some time, so if that fixes my problem i'll feel like an idiot. Haha!

Well, I didn't play for a week then I decided to pick it up and play despite the obnoxious double strumming. It now works perfectly fine. Let this be a lesson to you, if your guitar acts up, put it in detention for awhile, it'll learn. Thanks for the help anyways BriGuy.

i have the same guitar and it has been doing the same thing for the last couple of days, i usually just deal with it for the rest of the song and then shut my guitar off for about 15 seconds and turn it back on and its fine but im thinking about exchanging it since i still have the receipt and box (learned my lesson from a 2 hour visit to walmart because of the p.o.s third party "hammer" guitar)
