I think that means that they're just trying to outdo Guitar Hero.
Also they're probably using a different scoring system than Guitar Hero. _________________

THIS!
It's 60 bucks, and has some DAMN FINE SONGS (even if they are just covers). I for one get wet at the thought of getting some more Pantera (which have been sadly and bafflingly ignored since GH1)
Look me up on XBL Ellliott - we'll n00b out with some Rock Revolution tomorrow night - shotgun Drums! |

This. if I remember correctly GH used to have a lot of covers as well. RR does have a lot of good songs in the game and the covers cant be THAT bad. |

Considering GH1 is still my favorite GH/RB game (and that will never change i would bet), the covers isnt that big a deal.
What makes me pass on this is the amount of songs that are in other GH and RB games.
All My Life (GH3 - DLC)
All The Small Things (GHOT/ RB - DLC)
Are You Gonna Be My Girl (GHOT/ RB1)
Bad Reputation (RB2)
Blitzkrieg Bop (RB - DLC)
Detroit Rock City (RB1)
Dirty Little Secret (RB - DLC)
Dr. Feelgood (RB - DLC)
Highway Star (RB1)
Joker & the Thief (RB - DLC)
No One Like You (GH80)
Our Truth (RB2)
Pull Me Under (GHWT)
Round and Round (GH80/ RB2)
Run to the Hills (RB1)
Spoonman (RB2)
We're Not Gonna Take It (GWOT)
Won't Get Fooled Again (RB1)
Youth Gone Wild (GHOT)
Am I Evil? (New)
Cum on Feel the Noize (New)
Dance, Dance (New)
The Diary of Jane (New)
The End of Heartache (New)
Falling Away from Me (New)
Given Up (New)
Heading Out to the Highway (New)
Holy Wars...The Punishment Due (New)
Kiss Me Deadly (New)
Last Resort (New)
Magic Man (New)
Pain (New)
Paralyzer (New)
Sk8er Boi (New)
Somebody Told Me (New)
The Spirit of Radio (New)
Still of the Night (New)
Stone Cold Crazy (New)
Walk (New)
White Room (New)
Now most of us have almost all the games so thats 21 new songs that havent been released (or are to be released).
Dont get me wrong, to be able to play Stone Cold Crazy, Walk, Holy Wars and Am I Evil would be amazing, but is it worth 60 dollars.
Then again, Areosmith wasnt worth 60 either so who knows _________________

Yeah. A lot of these songs are in other games.
Still, this game has a really really good setlist, and with any luck, the songs will actually be fun, too.
Of course, I'm still not getting it... |

Hmm, well I've always been a fan of Konami's music/rhythm games, but I dunno. This one seems a bit iffy to me.
Eh, I'll rent it and see how it plays. Dunno if I'll buy it though. |

By the way, isn't it a little bit odd that they have a cover of Dance, Dance, when they had a master of it in DDR:Supernova?
At least, I'm pretty sure it wasn't a cover in that. |
Dance games can use the CD version of any songs they liscense easily, but GH-like games actually need the masters, so they can mute the guitar track/drum track/bass track when some1 is failing.. _________________

DDR: Supernova had "Let's Dance." I thought Dance, Dance was something by fallout boy

IIRC Dance, Dance was in one of the DDR home versions, maybe Supernova PS2. Could be wrong, though.
Also: 'This trailer shows off the drum and guitar peripherals to be used in the game.' SPOILERS: Rock Revolution Les Paul controller lol
It's depressing that they want to showcase a new game, and get someone who made it to play, even though she'd probably never played the game before. 'yeah I can play guitar this should be easy!' Why not just post an ad in the town: 'Looking for guitar game player who would like to try out a brand new game on stage, must be skilled!' It doesn't take a PR guru to work that shit out. |
