Even if they do add a detachable neck as a feature on the new guitar, I'm absolutely positive it will work. Logitech makes quality products; I've never been disappointed in anything I've purchased from them. I've used Logitech speakers, computer mice and keyboards, game controllers, and I think headphones (I'm not sure if they make those though) and all have been excellent. _________________

No, apparently detachable necks automatically mean it won't work. |

It differs. Some LP's suck, some LP's are good, and i hope RO practically re-invents the SG. SG is my first guitar controller, and its godly.
Second is the Simpsons "Otto's Axe" Flying V that sucks up 4 AA batteries, and does not have solo buttons, detachable neck, or anything that grants it 4 AA's.
Now,about the stock WT drums. GamePro (gaming magazine) said the drums are near perfect. And guess what? the drums are in prototype right now. They also said that the guitar is good too. No neck complaints. |

I agree. However, look at everyone saying "NO DETACHABLE NECKS" without really knowing anything about it other than that their LP doesn't work right. My point was that they can work, and Logitech definitely will if they decide to do it...because, well, they're Logitech. But apparently everybody here, based on one sample (which was the first one!), hath decreed that detachable necks are the work of the devil. |

I love the LP buttons, but the neck that comes off.... thats just wrong!
My GH3 LP is ok, my Aerosmith LP is awesome!
But its mostly because of the neck, I just hope they do a nice job with the instruments! |

Damnit my Xplorer controller just broke, now it strums randomly.
But I LOVE my Xplorer better then the GH3 one, atleast button wise, the Strum bar on the ones for GH3 are quite nice. So hopefully a hybrid :P |

I wouldn't be suprised if the didnt make it Bluetooth, because that could stir up some new hacks and mods, bluetooth being as compatible as it is. Like they could connect it to a computer so easily. I don't really know what i'm trying to say, but like Bluetooth would make it easier to mod. |

My SG does that, all you have to do is put a rubber band on it |

a) There sould be the option for both wired or wireless, just like the standard Xbox 360 controllers
b) No detachable neck PLEASE. Who ever came up with that idea deserves to be shot.
c) The controller needs to be comfortable for those who sit. Those who stand (like me) will have problems because of the tilt sensors. It would be a good idea for there to be a switch to turn the tilt sensor on and off, most people prefer to press select. _________________

1. you guys really have to fix the neck because the connection would always break and then the buttons wouldnt work and thats no fun.
2. red octane was def. the best at making controllers. _________________

Erm? Being able to fit a guitar in a backpack to bring to your friend's house equals death? Come on. Whoever designed the LP neck needs to be shot, not the guy who came up with the idea.
Anyway, I'm posting this more to say that the Wii version uses the Wiimote, which connects through BlueTooth. Also, the 360 one can be easily connected to a computer, and there are even drivers provided by Microsoft. To not use BlueTooth for the PS3 version so you can't connect to computers would be complete double standards. |

Whats up guys,
I have a friend whose dad works at logitech and he actually saw the new guitar hero controller prototypes and he told me about them. The only thing i remember him saying is that they are bigger. If you want I could ask him again if you want more info on it. Just thought I'd come in and say that.
- edit,
ok he also told me that it is going to be heavy and expensive |
