OMFG
"The guitar is new, I've only had it a couple months from new and the only reason I'm selling it is because I'm a lefty and the guitar is a righty - and I've been told I can't play anyway So I'd rather let someone who can have it. It has been on a guitar stand in our living room (a smoke-free environment) and has been well cared for."
Wow, I wonder what all those people who talk s**t about guitar hero not being anything like a real guitar have to say about something like this, I wasn't even aware such a thing existed.

What other proof do you have that this isn't a regular guitar with a GH sticker on it? |

Guess what? It also has six strings and pickups!
I think it's safe to say that we all know that it's an ACTUAL GUITAR. What BriGuy was asking was whether or not there was any more proof that it was a GH-sponsored guitar, or just somebody running a scam.
Before you start yelling at someone, please take the time to actually read what they have to say.
Anyway, I kind of doubt the legitimacy of this guitar. For a series as big as Guitar Hero, a product like this would have been bound to produce at least some attention. However, I was unable to find any information regarding this on the Gibson website or through Google. If I missed something, please correct me, but this certainly seems a little suspicious to me...

It looks like more people than us have been asking questions about the authenticity since he's added more details
"Note: I've had a few questions from people regarding the legitimacy of this guitar. This isn't a fake - this was won in a competition for Guitar Hero II organised by Activision/Red Octane in a trade publication. If you'd like to know more about the competition, http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=24538. "
*drools*
if it is fake, they put a hell of alot of effort into it although i've heard of a black guitar hero 2 guitar floating around, maybe it's rumors
the guys over at the official GH2 forums said it's authentic, won in shopping mall competitions for the highest scorer or something, why didn't i hear about this |

Yeah... sorry about that. It's been a rough week (mid-term paper saving issues, laptop crash, etc.), and I kinda went overboard with that comment.
