Thanks to those who came to my crappy little flat :P
I'm happy to host any future get-togethers too - just give me three days notice and anyone can come down anytime. Sillyfest was a lot of fun and I really want to host something similar in the near future if possible.
I *might* be available to go to Gamerbase - at the minute I'm pretty much broke, but I'm working on changing that :P
alsoa big thanks to Mattz0r for helping me with careers
Thanks again to everyone who came! _________________

That sucked, but I guess it happens when you play nearly 2 days solid :P |
Yea, Thats true, hahaha. Me and Mich played from 3pm sunday to 8am Monday, doing band careers and PFO's - Our closest one, being 60 or so points on Critical Acclaim on the 3rd to last note or something :O

Last note, think that was on Sunday morning too, dunno how I pulled that back, or how we managed to do GHGH, GH3 AND GHWT careers in the space of two days, it's enough to send anyone insane... Also my LP has totally crapped out so I have to use that shitty Xplorer now :/ _________________

Reckon it's too soon to start thinking about another meetup?
Dunno about anyone else but a bit further south might be good next time - seems only fair to alternate...
As for exactly where and when, I dunno, when are people available? I probably can't do much before about October, but whatever's good really. _________________

Loads of people have already stated their up for it, and its only one day, so why dont we go ahead with it? I know lilo95 is a regular there, and so is mysticandy and i occasionally drop in. So would one of you two be willing to ask them to set something up? |
Is that that thing under HMV? I can go to that easily some time.
Oh and sorry for not replying Silly, I was on holiday with no internet until Friday, had no sleep Thursday night, then was picked to play football on Saturday morning so was screwed on Sunday! sounds like you all had a blast though! _________________

It does and it doesn't in my opinion. For a start Nottingham etc is not north it's midlands. Manchester or Newcastle (just examples) to London or South West is further than London to Nottingham then again South west is far away from just about everything. Plus it seems more people live up north than do in London.
However more people seemed able to go to the London meet up so I really dunno, then again I think it might be slightly too early to be organising another meet-up just yet. However the fact that there is an awesome venue that is already there in Nottingham (thanks to Silly) is a big boost in it's favour. _________________

I agree with TDR, Notts is fairly central and seems to have a quality venue. There's no way I'd go all the way to London for a meet. Sorry. _________________

I would go to a london meet up... But i'd need plenty of warning, And it'd have to be a long weekend, to make it worth spending £50 getting there ;) (unless there was 3 months notice, then it would only be like £10 return)
Also, I'd like to point out that I have a job interview in the morning to work with BT
EDIT:
[14:00:06] <Mattz0r> Hey hey
[14:03:52] * Mattz0r FC'd his on site assessment and Interview
[14:04:11] <Mattz0r> infact, the interview was a skip in the SP phrase.
[14:04:30] <Deanz> Heh.
[14:04:49] <Mattz0r> i cant believe she said "we'll skip the interview, its too time consuming... Here, fill in these forms"
[14:04:56] <Deanz> XD

TenTen and Mattz0r are coming down this weekend if anyone else is up for it (short notice but the offer's there)
Also in the medium-term I will actually have my own Internet connection again and then some insane planning for more shenanigans can begin - Sillyfest 2.0 before the end of the year? _________________

I've just found out that I'm not getting my tuition fees paid for me this year which, factoring in accommodation, means I've got to make just under five grand stretch to just over six grand, and that's before I even think of eating and living day-to-day.
What I mean is, I'm out, permanently, or at least until this time next year. I'll still update the topic for anything that happens though. _________________

Being at university, I SHOULD be able to attend the next one, it'll be cheaper for me and I'll be closer.
In fact, just checked and a coach is only £11 and it's a 100 minute ride, so I would be good. _________________
