The Great wuLFe Get-together (Part II)

Hi folks

I've managed to get the day off on March 8th, SO we're on for another session of GH2/Wii/etc mayhem.

It's going to run pretty much exactly the same as the last one:
Meet up at my place in Richmond, IN on Wednesday evening (anytime after 4:00pm should be fine), play until we collapse from exhaustion, and resume the next day.

We will, provided it's still on, be travelling down to Cincinatti on the evening of Thursday the 8th to play in the tournament there (we'll probably need to take two cars depending on how many people show up), and we will probably run a few friendly tournaments at my place as well in the time preceding that (for example : winner gets treated to supper by everyone else, etc, etc - nothing formal - just fun).

Unfortunately, we can't extend it much past Thursday as i have to work on Friday again, but it should still be a great time (if the last one was anything to go by).

Anybody in the Columbus/Cincy/Dayton/Indy/Bloomington/etc area who might be interested in coming?

I'm gonna see what I can possibly do to get out of work. That's the easy part. Then I have to get the OK from the fiancee. That's the hard part.

How far are you from Cincy?

And is there any other information on the tournament?

It's about 65 miles (so roughly an hour) from Richmond...

Just a straight shot down US-27 to I-275.

The Guitar Hero tournament is at what seems to be a local bar - I'm guessing this COULD be problematic if not all our contingent are 21+, so we'll need to investigate further

EDIT : Nope - website says attendance is 18+ (and it's evidently more a live music venue than a bar anyhow)

I'm definitely not going to be able to make it this time

I'll be on Spring Break the week after that, so I'll be working major overtime that week trying to get everything completed that I need to do before I go.

I'll definitely be up for another one later on though; have fun!!

Hmm.... This sounds fun. Not to mention I've been meaning to come to one of the OH gatherings, and this might be one of the last chances I have.

I don't suppose anyone from the Chicago area would want to come? EMan? (I know you aren't in Chicago, but you might want to come) It's a long ass drive from Minneapolis to Richmond. Not saying I wouldn't be willing to make it alone, but it wouldn't be a whole lot of fun, considering I don't have a radio in my car and my iPod is broken.

I'll give you a call and talk about it sometime soon wuLFe. could you PM me your number again? I got a new phone and somehow fried my SIMM card so I lost all my SH numbers
