Sorry about that guys. This is what is known about the Les Paul's accelerometer so far:

No one has attempted this type of fix yet, but it's your best shot. Removing that accelerometer off the circuit board sends a constant SP signal so that pretty much breaks your guitar. If you were able to ground the "sleep" pin on that unit, you could potentially disable it. If anyone gets this working, please let us know.

What is the right tool to use to open the back of the Les Paul model? It looks like it takes an Allan wrench but I can't tell...any help?

Yeah I'm trying to figure out how to fix the tilt sensor as well on the wireless les paul.

Is there anyone out there that has really played with the circuitry inside the les paul?

Hey it seems to work pretty well. I actually came up with my own mod to mennie's mod. I posted it in this post here:

Is it safe to just tear that damn black box off? Since you can't pre-tilt in any Harmonix GH game, I have absolutely no need for the tilt sensor and all it does is get in the way. Will just ripping it off affect anything?

I have to say that this is a very good guide . By the way, what do you have to do to the SG if you just want to remove the tilt sensor for good? I'm the type of player who only relies on the select button to activate start power :p.
