This is full of win.

AND THIS

Quote:
We did have some minor issues with either dropped hits or crosstalk in some of the kits that we played with however a great solution is already in the works to rectify this. Through a software program on your computer, you will be able to adjust the sensitivity settings for the drums, and save them to the firmware built into the drum kit. Various settings like Sensitivity, Threshold, and Cross Talk were available with a range of 1-100, 1 being the most sensitive. You can change the settings for each pad/cymbal/pedal individually. This program will be available for free shortly after game launch from guitarhero.com.

Made me have to change my pants.

And when i came back and looked at the computer,

I had to go change my pants again.

can u still tap the purple line sections with the lp?

Yeah, in those sections, strumming isn't required, even if you use the normal fret buttons instead of the touchstrip.

Think of it as the Strat's solo-button functionality, without actually having to USE the solo buttons. It's your choice, all it means is you don't have to strum.

Yeah, play holds like drum rolls. Faster you are, the more points you get.

Reading the preview, it's quite negative. Music Studio is wholly dissapointing, the Band UI/Rock meter/failure system sounds frustrating, menu and song list are confusing, among others.

Yeah, the menus are supposedly confusing and the Studio sounds like it will take a while to get used to, but the Gameplay (which is really all that should matter...) sounds GREAT! I absolutely can not wait for this game.

Oh, yeah. I think Satch Boogie's hardest part to FC will be the trills, not the solo. It will take some stamina, but really doesn't look that insanely difficult

Personally, I feel that the trill will actually be the easy part; considering it is one of those special tapping sections, you don't even need to strum it to start off (methinks), and the seconds preceding the trill happens to be a nice and calm sustain, giving you ample time to prepare. Yeah, it's fast, but it's short and no where as difficult as the one in SWTA (from what I can interpret from the video at least).

The ziggies at the end will take more than "some stamina". They aren't necessarily fast, but they are quick and tricky enough to tire you out within 20 or so seconds. The ziggies last twice that long. Then again, that could just be me: I plan on 1-handing the whole thing.

Can't wait to see the La Bamba chart :P

I have a question for anybody who went.

Is there anything that you learned about the game that you can't tell us (or haven't told us)?

The whole wiki thing is great overall. I was very impressed.

I really hope the Music developer can chart a good amount of notes for the Guitar chart only. I have this huge playlist planned out where I had already gathered over 100 songs that I wanted to chart out

If there is a "note limit" as said in the review, I'll be epic sad. Some of the songs I want have tons of notes in them!!!

I'm praying that it can handle at least 2000 notes, or 2500.

I plan on being one of those "hardcore" rather than "casual" people who go nuts with this thing. I couldn't make customs on my skinny ps2, and I've been craving to do that for a couple of years now.

Perhaps the best news from the article:

Quote:
The engine seemed to be tolerant of a louder singing style, but even though we weren't afraid to belt it out, we had to keep a defined pitch present. Personally, I was rewarded more on Rock Band for singing quietly or in a falsetto; if I sang loudly, I'd distort the input and lose most of the pitch detection. This doesn't seem to be as much of an issue in World Tour.

Good. Rock Band is what really got me interested in vocals, but how you had to sing in that game always annoyed me. What's the point if you can't put any feeling into it?

Great job on the preview. The Wiki is looking like it'll be awesome too, can't wait.
