OKAY, I have a question that has been bugging me for days...
CAN YOU CHANGE the fucking size of the fret board??? Each game it's been getting smaller and smaller and now it's not even funny anymore when I play it (not that it ever was) but I've seen videos, and maybe it's the camera view but it looks just as big as GH:3 in the videos, but not on my 360...

This tiny board is bugging the crap out of me (yea I'm a weenie) somebody help...

I have a question. With vocals. If you're playing online as a full band co-op, if everyone else are randoms is there a way to set it so they cant hear your voice? only the actual songs vocals? for certain songs I don't want them hearing my voice haha I'll sound like a tard.

On 360 you can hold down the L trigger and it turns down the volume of your input.

Okay, so I just spent the last 15 hours playing this game... yeah I know, I'm obsessed, but seriously, this game waaaay exceded my expectations for it. Nearly all the reviews originally put it at a marginal, 7 outta 10 game or the like, but it's much better than that.

First off, guitar. All songs are much, much easier than GH3, even more so with GH2, but no real surprise there. The slide sections were interesting, but for me it was way easier to just hit the notes with the regular frets. The sliding was innaccurate and hard to judge which note your finger was on. Definately one of the coolest things was the hammer-on chords and hitting other notes while holding the green or some other note. I forgot which song, but it went something like etc, with the green note being held the entire time. And of course, Crazy Train and B.Y.O.B. were insanely fun:D

Drums: took a few songs to get used to, but then I was playing just as good as I did on rock band. The star power activations were tricky, and sometimes I found that even when I had star power, and would hit both cymbals on a yellow note, and it would only register the orange and kill my streak, plus it wouldn't activate. The biggest plus about it were the pads themselves. They had great bounce for me, and rolls like the ones in Crazy Train were really easy. The biggest downside was probably the foot pedal. big, bulky, innaccurate, and sliding all over the place. Not the best choice for a pedal. I was playing on a PS3 at my friends house, and to our dismay his rock band pedal would not work with it, another dissappointment.

Bass: Not much to say, the open notes are really fun and you get used to them after seeing them only once or twice. I'll admit that Hammering them on is still tricky, but bass, for the most part, is still really boring.

Vocals: on all levels beyond medium, I found them harder than rock band, but it was still really hard to fail when I had a full band behind me. Being able to activate SP whenever is a great addition. also, the freestyle sections were pretty fun. Just sing along with the bass on one continuous note for max points, basically.

Overall, I had tons of fun. The UI was just as bad as they said it was, and looking up to see if we had enough SP for us all to activate had me constantly missing notes. We eventually played Full Band full expert, and easily topped the leaderboards for PS3. Is nobody else playing, because we honestly weren't that good.
A good game in all. I still prefer rock band, but this is a nice contrast

meh, my friend of America brought to my house a NTSC Xbox360 and a NTSC Guitar Hero World Tour with all the instruments, he lent me the game plus the xbox for one week. I must say I'm pretty disapointed with the game, I thought it was better, almost all the songs are boring, in expert the game only begins with the hardest songs --' I mean, my 4 year old brother can play Monsoon on hard, I already saw him playing it.

well, I'm not saying the game is bad, I just think neversoft could do a little more in the songs.

so, yeah, that's it, I'm buying Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour in Christmas just to show you I'm not any kind of Rock Band fanboy x(

Hi Windzor,

There is currently not a (released) PC version of GH:WT. This does that mean that they will not release one (and I'm sure some minor research could confirm this fact). Guitar Hero: Aerosmith did not come out in PC form for nearly 4 months after the initial release, so that's probably a realistic timetable of expectation.

All you seem to be doing is replying to people that are excited about the game with your own opinions about how much you dislike it- it's really beginning to annoy me. I could care less how easy it is for you and how you don't like the fact the dream theater song isn't as hard as Constant Motion or Panic Attack. I think you would have more fun on the RB side on Scorehero where you don't have to read anything about this terrible game that nobody should buy.

And how much are you getting payed by Activi$ion or FailSoft to defend it so eagerly??? THE GAME SUCKS.

My impressions

1. Too much shitty poser, -velvet, -softpop, -pretend rebelious, -pretend progressive (Tool) tunes... AWFUL.. and since they must have got the major part of this crap for free: GREEDY

2. Charts are too fucking EASY. The difficulty on expert should have started on the level of the last two tiers. I finished the game on expert in ONE session, almost all FC's or 5 stars, only failed Satch Boogie twice, until I realized...

3. the new guitar is SLOW. Neck buttons wider apart, slide bar useless, whammy and strumbar SLOW (distance going from non-pressed to full is longer, distance going from up-down is longer, shitty!). I nailed the tune instantly on my LP.

4. BAD choice of songs from the selected bands catalouges. "God God" by Anouk? When we could have had "Nobody's Wife"??? "VinterNoll2" by Kent??, "That Girl" by Nirvana???? You gotta be KIDDING. C'mon!!!

And to top it off...

5. They even undercharted some easy tunes!!! Hotel California (dual harmonic tripplets), and the REM tune (refrain riff) comes to mind. How bout that??? UNDERCHART THIS SIMPLE GAME!!

So, why should I bother? If I go online, I would have to endure all the shitty in-game tunes for face-offs, since no one will have the same DLC as the other guy. And I figure that was the plan: "Want playable tunes?? BUY SOME DLC! YEA, START OUT WITH THE ADDITIONAL CRAP WE HAVE. WANT TO HAVE FUN ONLINE AS WELL??? GET EVERYONE TO BUY IT TOO!!! ...MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

FUCK THAT!

The "Complete Band Pack" was immediatley retuned this week, game is kept until I finish the base tracks (I like the added open tune).

VERDICT: A COMBINED TASTE OF FAIL AND GREED. UGLY.

I'm not getting "Paid" anything by those companies. Seeing you post this shit over and over again makes me want to smash my head against the wall repeatedly though. So maybe you should be paying my medical bills.

Cry moar.

Sorry, but I'm COMPLETELY honest, and if there was SOMETHING forgivable about this game, I perhaps would sound a little lighter. But there really isn't so ...DUH!

Then quit being an ass about it, state your opinion without flaming, and leave.
