GHWT lag

I just got a sony 40 inch KDL-40S4100 hdtv and I have terrible lag on it and I can't figure out the calibration I get different settings every time and I know it is not me because I used to play on a regular tv and I'm ranked in the top 20 on PS3 please help

Don't use the auto-calibrate system. Unless you can be PERFECTLY accurate during both tests, it won't work properly. If you're getting a 0 for one of your numbers during a calibration it means you were too inaccurate in that section. I found the best way to discover my "Sweet Spot" for lag was to fiddle around with the settings myself. I moved up in 5's and started to randomly move the numbers around til it seemed somewhat fine. Then I started tweaking it til it was near-perfect. My current lag setting is 25ms / 45ms, and this is the calibration I use for most TVs. Those are my magic numbers, you should give them a shot.

If those don't work, just keep trying to manually calibrate. Another option, a long shot, is to keep asking in the forums and hope someone has your TV and has some magic numbers for you.

Apply Game Mode (refer to your manual).
