So I was playing my Guitar hero today... and like... the whammy bar wasn't working unless I unplugged the controller and plugged it back in at the beginning of every song. Then about half way through one of the songs, a notice popped up saying "You must've been rocking too hard" or whatever it says when a controller gets unplugged.

I have no idea what the problem is, and I know if I open it up (which I am familiar with) I'll have no idea what to look for as far as connection problems go. Does anyone have any help for me on repairing this? I refuse to pay another 40 bucks for another guitar!

Sounds like some cables are being disconnected somewhere, that usually happens when you have pets chew on cords or if you accidentally stand on the cord and pull up real hard on the guitar, ripping them out of the solder points.

Sounds like some wires just needs to be rejoined or soldered back together.

I think my avatar explains that... stupid cat...

It's weird though that it slowly lost connection instead of just flat out died
