Whammy bar broke.

I noticed it was starting to squeak a lot, but I didn't think much of it. Then today, it lost its springy-ness, so to speak. I press it down, but instead of popping back up to its rightful position, it just stays down flat and barely moves up. This makes it extremely hard for me to use it as I have to grip it in my fingers and move it up and down instead of palming it. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
