I made some stands so I can paint it as two pieces rather than 5 or so...
If you're gonna paint the fret board, I suggest you tape off the inside of the button bezels. If you don't, you'll run the risk of getting excess paint build up in the button slots, which will prevent the button from being able to be properly seated in the neck.
I forgot to take any more "in progress" pics so here are some pics of the finished result.
I hope you all enjoy looking at it as much as I enjoyed painting it..
thanks-epi |

Nice clean job. I think my favorite part is the neck actually. Well done. _________________

That looks beautiful! Good job! When I painted my Les Paul I only painted the faceplate, I didn't want to risk painting the whole guitar my first time painting....but this guitar looks so nice I might have to paint my other controller _________________

how did you paint the frets (not buttons) and fret markers? I've been wanting to do that for a while but couldn't figure out a good way. _________________

You're talking about the silver right?
I used testors silver and a paint brush similar to these.
or you also grab a testors silver paint marker like the one found in this set.
but if you use the marker be careful not to have too much paint on the tip when you use it... |
