I've heard about how Riz actually banned every time someone broke a rule in the sticky. Well, lately about 90% of the new posters would be banned on the spot, so I think we need to get back to that. Any comments or should I just activate Nazi Mode now? _________________

I've been working on the nazi mode code recently, but I haven't fully tested it. Then again, who cares if a few random suckers get banned by accident.
Might as well test the code now. I've activated it on the admin tools page.
Edit: Doesn't work right now, blah.

Definitely include a whitelist if possible -- obviously include anyone in $admin $staff $hmx $nsoft and $shadowmod, but less obviously we want to make sure to avoid banning any "big name" users without any sort of human intervention. Too much hassle if it's too aggressive with the wrong people. _________________

We used to have a "Ban this user" button next to their username in the Software forum and in one swift click they met the banhammer - I'll look into adding this back in. _________________

Any way to automatically tie this in to users who report broke chart file links? I'm so tired of hearing "this link is broken" Maybe using keywords such as "broken", "link" or something. Would "this" be too loose of a word to associate? I guess you could also include obvious misspellings of each of those words. _________________

Shit, nazi mode isn't working the way I intended, I'm disabling it for now. |
