I'm glad that #1 is Mario. It should be that game.
And I'm glad Zelda (The first one) is nowhere near the top ten. A big relief. _________________

I completely agree. Ocarina of Time was amazing, but Mario is just THE video game. He's the dude that made video games what they are. _________________

I agree with everything, except for the final fantasy games
VII and X should have been up higher, while IV shouldn't be near that list.
Im sad to see how theirs no Mario Kart 64, god knows how many hours I blew playing that game with my friends in the senior room (180 x 2 hour per day=360 hours, thats just sad ) |

wow they put some obscure shit on there. Which is great
Some of these games i forgot about, they were so great
River City Ransom
Syndicate
Return Fire
Starsiege Tribes
Fallout
I didn't think wave race was that good of a game, though
and oh they put Halo on there, what a joke. Worst FPS of its generation
Too many redundant games and sports games and merely popular games on this list.
Also no Alpha centuri? Criminal! No Diablo 2? Blasphemy! You lose IGN |

I agree with the list as it nears the top, but some of the bottom 50 I think are way off. I'm very happy SC made it to number 7 though...I think sometimes that game is under-appreciated when it comes to ALL games (though certainly not underrated in the RTS genre). _________________

I'm happy that 4 Final Fantasies and Secret of Mana made it on there...
Also, No World of Warcraft? I'd say that it's quite the massive game... Surprised it's not on there... _________________

Keep in mind, folks... this list is from 2005. No GH (didn't exist yet)... no WoW (was only out for a few months, and was nothing special to speak of yet... just yet another MMO), etc...

These list are always opinion based anyway, just look at how many "Top 100 guitar solos" lists there are and note the differences. The list pleases me for the most part, Star Wars: Tie-Fighter at number 9!!! |

Yes! Mike Tyson's Punch Out is 57...that's my favorite game ever.
Tecmo Super Bowl at 24 is awesome, and Super Mario 3 at 23 is really low. |

I must say, that I was unaware that the list is from 2 years ago...
Still think WoW should be on there...
Either way, I'm overall pleased with the list. SC was a big surprise though... mind you, it was a pretty popular game, still is today! _________________

That was one of the best games of all time, easily. I used to play the HELL out of that when I was a kid. Those were the days. I was probably like 14 or 15 playing that game.
The list is old, and the list is pretty much garbage generally speaking. There are some fantastic games that got overlooked and some mediocre games that got put in. _________________
