I'm not trying to be negative here, but what CAN we talk about?
It would be nice to post examples of what we can talk about. _________________

How am I supposed to come up with things to talk about? That's YOUR job. _________________

Believe it or not, some people don't like grilled cheese sandwiches. While I appreciate the reference, it is still up for debate and is thus not appropriate to talk about. |
What? How is this possible!
I frankly find it highly unlikely for anyone (assuming non-lactose intolerant) to dislike grilled cheese. I mean its great, you have cheese and um….. grilled! Heck you can put meat on it if you want.

Keep it up with the violation of the rules, buddy, and you'll get a permaban as well. _________________

It's about time someone took a stand on this shitfest of a board and put up some real rules. I thank you, Riz.
Wait, Riz didn't make this topic? o_O |

After the whole iglooperson fiasco these rules are very much welcome
I look forward to discussing all the things the rules allow! _________________

Actually, scratch my last statement. Grilled cheese sandwiches are way to controversial to be discussed, there's too much bad blood going on there.
These new rules are really for the better. This fourm has had too much "people" issues and "thoughts" recently. I, for one, favor the monotony that will finally come the GC. |

Just for future reference, Post-It notes were first created in 1977.
No further discussion is needed, and this follows all of the guidelines put forth by EWiggen (not from my personal life, post-its aren't in the news, not music, you'd never learn about post-its in class because, while used often, they're taken for granted and not focused on, and there is no controversy surrounding them).
I'm glad we had this thorough, one-sentence discussion. I bid you all good day. _________________

I see that many in our userbase clearly understand the reasons for the new rules, and this is a good thing. _________________

Hey, this sounds really good! I've never actually posted in this forum before, but with these new rules I could see myself becoming very active in discussions on the GC forum.
Great thinking EWiggen! _________________

There's plenty of controversy. Which colors do you use? What sizes? There's too many variables to--
Shit, I'm gonna get banned. >_< |

Props to the mods for cracking down. General chat will look a lot better after this, in my opinion. Less retards, more actual discussion. |

It's not just me; this was a collaborative effort of all the staff (but especially me) to create these rules. Also, SArm, I should mention that post-it notes was ONCE news. Therefore, it's not suited for discussion. I should update the rules to reflect this. _________________

Here is something interesting, The most common name in the world is Mohammed.
That's actually pretty neat. I was expecting John as the most common name in the world. _________________
