I didn't figure it out until reading EWiggen's hilarious replies to the questions on the first page. The "Staff Edit: User was banned for this post" also gave it away, since I really don't think the mods would ever publicly announce banning... IIRC, there was a rule that states that a ban is the victim's business and no one else's, so I doubt the mods would broadcast it.
