a bit late but I just saw step brothers and it was hilarious.

My Cousin Vinny was just and tv last night and that still ranks as one of my favorites of all time.

Vertigo does not in any way, shape, or form suck.

Would you mind explaining to me why? I'm not trying to flame, I just really want to understand why people consider this a quality film.

I just saw Yes Man. It's probably the best Jim Carrey film since Liar Liar.

Amelie and A Very Long Engagement. Same director/main actress. They're french film with subtitles, but you can get it at blockbuster or wherever. -BRILLIANT- films.

This same director - Jean-Pierre Jeunet - also made two other great films called The City of Lost Children and Delicatessen. They're quirky and very stylish, way more out there than the two you mentioned, but I'm still confident that a lot of people will like them (especially the former which is a modern classic).

I just saw a film called Auto Focus a few days ago. It's a biopic about Bob Crane, who played Hogan on Hogan's Heroes. It stars Greg Kinnear (as Crane) and Willem Dafoe and follows their sexual exploits. The movie is darkly funny and overally very entertaining. I enjoyed it.

I also just went on a Documentary binge a couple weeks ago - Sundance Channel plays them all the time. I saw Capturing the Friedmans, which is just superb (wuLFe will testify to that). It's about the arrest and trial of two members of a middle class family on child pornography and pedophilia charages. It's really just a great portrait of a family faced with tragedy. In the same sitting I also saw Reel Paradise, about an indie filmmaker who takes his family to Fiji to play free movies in a small theater for a year, and In Prison My Whole Life about the imprisonment of Mumia Abu Jamal on trumped-up charges with little evidence. The last two were all right as far as most documentaries go; they were competently made films about interesting subjects. I really have to recommend Capturing the Friedmans, though.

I watched Battle Royale with a friend yesterday. Great movie. Import it if you can (it's legal here but no one wants to sell it).

Having finally watched Good Night, and Good Luck, I had this sledgehammer of a realization midway through that gave me a little insight into why the economy is in the shape that it's in. It's simultaneously one of the most moving and important movies I've ever seen.

On a much lighter note, I thought that Fast & Furious was the very definition of cashing in.

I saw 7 pounds the other day. I liked it, even though I had no idea what was going on for the first hour and a half, the ending tied it up very well.

Last night I watched sex drive, I thought it was ok, hilarious in the beginning, sort of staggering throughout the movie. I loved how fucking smooth lance was throughout the movie, and the two guys who were always together hitting on every girl.

I felt the same way about Seven Pounds. I was completely clueless for most of the movie but the ending really cleared everything up, great movie but a little slow.

Gran Torino's ending was the closest I was to tears at a cinema. Damn that was an awesome movie. And the last worth mentioning I've seen.

Well, I'm not much a movie person, but I did really enjoy Boyz in the Hood. I don't know why I like it, but I highly recommend it.

Has anybody else seen this?

Also, one of my favorite movies is "My Cousin Vinny", which was posted earlier.

And I've seen Napoleon Dynamite 41 times. \m/

The latest movie I saw was Body of Lies, kind of old. It was a pretty good movie. Good action and a good story line.

Well, although I've seen them before, I watched the entire Matrix trilogy in a row last night.

I had such deep philosophical thoughts about existence and the mind, that I honestly can remember them. I guess it was just too much information.

Honestly, it was weird.

I had a similar Matrix marathon a few weekends ago. All I can say is that I can never look at Neo the same after watching this movie in spanish class.
