Okay, so from what I've read, the only two master tracks are "Given Up" and "Paralyzer", but how on earth is "Spoonman" a cover. I played the first minute of the song, and it sounded just like the master track. Could someone please clear this up with me? If it is a cover, it's a damn fine one.

umm...this whole game is covers. The music in Spoonman is good but I don't think the singing is as much. I think im right but all on disc content is covered. |

Given Up and Paralyzer are masters. Everything else is a cover, and yes, some of them are tough to tell they're covers at all. Spoonman is one of them. I personally thought Last Resort was pretty much spot-on as well, in addition to Falling Away From Me. There's more, but the game's better at covers than most think . _________________

Oh, sorry. I forgot to check my OP. I meant those two songs were the only masters. I find it hard to believe that "Spoonman" is a cover though. The covers were very well done in my opinion. |

Meh.
I liked the cover, the guitar was spot on (as it was in every other song. Kudos Steve Ouimette), but the singing just sounded like a cover band playing in a local restaurant. _________________

I give a shit load of credit to Steve. He's pretty underrated despite his large contributions to GH/RR. |

The quality of the cover seems to fluctuate wildly on a song-by-song basis. Last Resort and Falling Away From Me, total agreement: those are pretty spot-on renditions right there. Contrast the vocals on Are You Gonna Be My Girl, or worse still, Chop Suey!: graaah. Dude, I can do a more authentic Serj than that. The horror!
(P.S. Someday I will be online playing this at the same time as you, at which point the ROCK REVOLUTION DEATH CHALLENGE best-of-101 songs wins GO GO GO throwdown shall commence. Someday....) _________________

I thought the singer for "Chop Suey" was actually just covering Daron's voice rather than Serj. It definitely sounds more like Daron than Serj lol. |
