I just saw some random guy on the internet play Scream, Aim, Fire on performance mode (very impressive) on drums and he was using two pedals. I was wondering if that was used for the extra port in the back of the Guitar Hero drums? Has anyone tried this or did he make a circuit a la Rock Band double bass?

For GH drums you just need a splitter. The sensors don't have on/off mechanisms, so you don't have the problem that you get with RB drums where if you hold one down, the other won't work. Probably a $5 part from radio shack assuming that you have two pedals.

No need for a twinrocker or anything fancy.

Probably the next obvious question - how does one go about obtaining a second bass pedal... Red Octane?

Well, the RB pedal doesn't work by itself on WT so im guessing it won't work as a double bass. Could try just to buy a cheap one? How am I supposed to know which ones work?

Also, in that vid, that guy only uses one pedal from what I saw. He never kicked with his left

If anyone figures out if the RB1 bass pedal will work with the GH:WT bass pedal when connected to a splitter, let me know

Just so it is known, I went to my friends house and plugged in both bass pedals using a M/FF splitter and both pedals worked simultaniously. Of course they were both GHWT kicks though.
