The engine in SM can be tweaked how you want it, so you can't really say that they are the same...unless you're talking about more than the timing window, in which they are completely different. Why would you prefer FFR to SM, though? SM has many many more features and possibilities, what does FFR have that it doesn't? _________________

FFR is an abomination to the name of Rhythm games.
It's about 0.00757% as awesome as Stepmania.
Dammit Plaguis beat me to the post. _________________

I am alright at this, I can hit SOME intense shit but not to much. My friend Pim is fucking sick as this he's better at FFR than GH. _________________

Haha, FFR is fairly well known in this neck of the woods. A member named Shashakiro (a beast at GH and a mascot on the forums) was the highest ranked player on FFR for a while.

Let's see... automatic ranking system, a scoring system that actually makes sense, a bunch of songs, online game (extremely important because you can play from any computer that has internet)... StepMania is better if you have the time and resources to get all the songs you want, the Cmods set how you want, etc., but FFR still has its uses. _________________
