okay so after this happens, manually boot up GH3, then see what happens.
I.E. does it show the custom song list that you just clicked in my Program? _________________

I've booted up GH3 and and and the songs are as normal rather than any custom ones.
There is something happening as the save game is altered when i select the different versions of the game.
Is it due to the location of the music files? they are currently in the GHSwitcher folder? |

Okay. First off, did you rename the application Guitar Hero III to something, even by 1 letter?
Secondly, the song and music files go into
/Applications/Guitar Hero III/Guitar Hero III Data/GH3/DATA/MUSIC/
/Applications/Guitar Hero III/Guitar Hero III Data/GH3/DATA/SONGS/
The QB files go into the songlist switcher folder. _________________

You have GH3 installed on your mac in MAC osX right? Try playing GH3 on your mac normally then try the switcher again. I use a call named "PathtoAppFile" which will open the last version of GH3 that you used. If you last opened it in parallels it will try to as well. _________________

I second this motion. I'm about to buy GH3 and a wireless gaming receiver for my Mac (so I can use my X360 LP :P) and I'd love to have this useful app once I get it.
Anyone who has the files, if you would be so kind as to upload it to something like RapidShare, I would be most grateful. _________________

Sorry for the double post, but seriously I just installed GH3 on my Mac and I don't have Parallels or anything and I'd really like to put in some of my own custom songs... could someone who has this app please put it up on RapidShare or MediaFire? _________________

Sorry, I haven't been on scorehero in a long while, and a previous attempt to log-in failed due to a wrong password. Anyways, I'm back now and I'll post the source code and binary (I'll do a fresh compile on 10.6.6) in the next few days.
Don't have my laptop on me at the moment so I can't upload them now. _________________

Great to have such a competent Mac-User back on board...!
Just found all your stuff to customize GH3 on a Mac (a bit late, I know)...
Look like it'll take me quite some time to work it out propperly.
But your explanations were a great help so far!
Did you (or everone else with a Mac) ever try to use the GHTCP-Tool (on PC partition) instead of songlist editor? 'Cos everyone in the forum sees it as the better tool. Or will it cause trouble when transfering the data over to the Mac? And will the Parallels-trick (without installing a PC-version of GH3) also work?
Thanx for a reply!
