|
|
My friend, while registering, created a password that was 16 characters long. When he tried to login, the password box would only let him enter 15 characters. In turn, he created a password that could never be inputted. He is emailing JCirri about getting his password reset. |

Not sure, I haven't heard back from my friend about it just yet. It's an actual HTML issue during registration though. |

You're right, sorry about that. The login page will now allow 16-character passwords, so he should be able to login just fine. Let me know if there's still a problem. _________________

He can login now, however he had to chop his password down to 12 characters... he tried using his 16 character password and it didn't work. So he kept trying by chopping the last character off each time, and came to 12. Something could be chopping the string variable in the PHP in the post-script, or the password box during registration is only allowing 12 characters. |

On closer inspection, I checked the HTML for the registration page and found the problem.
Code: |
<tr>
<td align="right" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="req">*</span><b>Retype Password: </b></td>
<td width="100%"><input type="password" name="pass2" size="20" maxlength="12" /></td>
</tr>
|
maxlength should equal 16, not 12.
