Is there one of these already (and I'm blind)? If not, it seems like a natural thing to add with the contribution points. Might give some extra incentive for people to go narrow down those cutoff ranges.

I agree, this should be shown somewhere. I think I may show the top 3 contributors on the home page with a link to view all contributors.
