Delete the Aspyr folder and run the microsoft install cleanup wizard to remove it from the list then install the game again. _________________

Not that I have GH3, but usually when programs install they add keys to the registry as well as information per user. So, you'd probably need to delete that too.
Check C:/Documents and Settings/<username>/Application Data
Check C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data
Check the registry by running regedit from the Start Menu's Run. Actually you probably shouldn't touch the registry unless you know what you're doing. But, hopefully you can uninstall it without the registry keys being removed.
Once you clear out those two folders of anything that is related to GH3, try INSTALLING it again, then remove it with the uninstaller if the installer completes successfully. _________________

No i Am not new to computers. I personally I am currently running a custom built Linux comp, as well as this Macbook. But also, I thought you meant to unistall the game from the point of view of trying to save space. Because of the games 5gb, 99.99% of it is in that one folder.
Nothing personal though. _________________

I'd like to bump this because I have the same issue currently and have followed all steps provided thus far. If anyone else could shed some light on this for me it would be appreciated.
I'm using windows Vista (i know...)
Edit: I've corrected the problem using the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, worked like a charm. Thank You. _________________

Appart from manually deleting the GH3 folder, I would run the Windows uninstall wizard as someone said before to make the windows installer know its not installed anymore.
You can aswell open regedit.exe and search for Aspyr or Guitar Hero entry and deleting all of them.
Then you can finally run Ccleaner or similar programs.
You may want to delete de save files located C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Aspyr |

I used the above program when I had this problem and it worked perfectly. Try it.
Also, it's not the files are still there. It's the registry entries. |
