Never been a big fan, but I have been getting into ska a little bit lately. I'm planning on seeing Streetlight Manifesto in October. Anyone know what to expect from that?

Late reply, lol.
Anyway, I saw Streetlight in March 2008 at the first show of their 41 Days And Nights Of Tour. They were absolutely AMAZING, they sound very much the same live as they do recorded.
As a side note slightly off topic... The only thing that sucked about it was that the particular concert they performed at was Xtreme Thing in Vegas, which was odd because the rest of the bands were screamo/emo-ish stuff like Chiodos, Alesana and Escape the Fate, with Pennywise headlining... thus, there were a ton of straightedge and scene kids there, and they have their stupid unspoken "no (euphemism for female genitalia) in the pit" rule. I did not know about this, and I have never seen a pit break up faster than when I jumped in. -_-

You're not alone. I love love love RX Bandits. I can listen to "Appariton" and "Only for the Night" over and over.

anybody like Skindred? they are sort of reggae-metal, at least their older stuff. Stand For Something is nothing like their old stuff, or even the rest of the album. theyre a little different than the rest of the stuff in this thread but its still relevant and something cool to listen to.

Also, no Rebelution? They just released a new album not to long ago that's pretty sweet.

I was just about to mention Rebelution. I found them out through my roommate and they have become one of my favorite bands from this genre.

I haven't really dug deep into this area of music, but I have enjoyed what I know from it so far, which is pretty much main names like 311, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, The Expendables, and Sublime.

Speaking of Rebelution, they are playing with S.O.J.A. February 17th at the Masquerade, and I'm going to be attending. :> Its gonna be great. Unfortunately I missed a great show Saturday at the Masquerade because The Supervillains were opening for The Wailers. I missed them at River Bend, and again in Atlanta. =[

When they come for me
I'll be sitting at my desk
With a gun in my hand, wearin' a bulletproof vest
Singin' my my my, how the time does fly
When you know you're gonna die by the end of the night

I love Streetlight, I got into them before Catch and really like Kalnoky's vocals a lot more than Catch's new vocalist. Any suggestions for bands that are similar?
