Fuck. Yes.
Just last week I posted something on Facebook saying that it "could be the most underrated album ever". Maybe a little bit of an exaggeration, but I do think it's fantastic and incredibly underappreciated. I would still rank 'A Man Alone' safely among my all-time favourite songs.
...come to think of it, all those albums you suggested there are totally worth checking out. _________________

Hello. I've recently become interested in the Punk genre of music due to it's huge influence on Metal back in the early 80's. Currently digging Suicidal Tendencies and Black Flag a lot. I will come back and ask you guys for some personalized recs after I take care of the CDs I'm looking for now. _________________

I wouldn't say Descendents became a "Pop Punk" band. I'd just say they continued being a "Melodic Punk" band :P _________________

If you can find the first 3 LPs (I have no idea why the first album took so longer to be released in its entirety) definitely have a listen if you aren't familiar with them. Their "debut" album Static Age has the raw, unpolished feel of a first album from a punk band.

Misfits are Horror Punk. Awesome band, too. One of my favorite punk bands next to The Ramones. _________________

HOLY SHIT I went to a Hot Topic yesterday and picked up a "Plea for Peace Vol. II". It was a non-profit punk complitation, 52 great songs for only $2. It had plenty of really good punk songs along with some ska and a little hardcore thrown in the mix (plus an early and really kickass Darkest Hour song). If you can manage to find one pick it up, you will not be dissapointed. Also, I recently got a complete Minor Threat discography for a mere $9. _________________
