Very stupid SP question

Well, almost everytime I activate starpower the thing registers yellow and makes blue a overhit. then I go WTF and miss more notes.
I've already got over 20 songs ruined this way....

Basically, if you activate on a Blue note, make sure you hit the yellow a bit earlier. If it's on a Yellow, hit the blue a bit earlier (but not too early of course, or it'll register as a different note).

If you activate on another note (say, a red note) and you don't play the note, then you'll have 99% at the end, and maximum ns -1. no big deal though.

Note : for people just using rough paths, or not squeezing, i just recommend hitting (YB) simultaneously and outside of any note to avoid complications =P

Note² : never try to activate before (i mean, even if it's FAR before!) a (YB) note. Will only overhit. =/

I've never had a problem activating on blue or yellow notes, I hit both at the same time. Maybe youre accidentally hitting the displayed note first and its counting that as a conventional hit first..in that case the above advice should work if you can't hit them simultaneously. Obviously you can't activate on blue/yellow notes though (at least on rb sets)

Quick question, what game are you talking about? I had so much trouble like you on GHWT, but on the other games it's fine. If you're still having trouble maybe just try and activate where there are no notes.
