So, I can already tell how this CD is going to fare with me. I'm listening to it thinking "Pretty good." and then a month or 2 later will listen to it again and go 'HOLY FUCK THIS IS GREAT.'
Much like I did with Pinkerton. Great CD through the 5th song. I got it today ;3 _________________

There are alot of songs I have already heard before, but at the same time, I'm really happy to finally get a real version of them, and not some MP3 that was floating around the internet. Many of them are good songs, and single version of Pink Triangle? Fuck yes! I love the synth on that version.
Wish there were some more Songs From The Black Hole, but all and all, this is 10+25 songs of pure Weezer awesomeness. I approve. |

I got Pinkerton Deluxe Edition for Christmas, really nice to hear that album again. I'm probably going to start listening to this a lot again now.
As for the un-released songs, Long Time Sunshine is a really cool song. Also can somebody tell me who the female singer is on IJTOtLoMD? (lol that's a long song title/acronym) _________________

She is Rachel Haden. She was involved in Matt Sharp's (at-the-time) side-band The Rentals.
I also bought Pinkerton Deluxe. Finally nice to have these songs on a CD. Could have done without a billion versions of El Scorcho (2 would have been enough)...but it's still great. |

Hey there, I'm that one guy who jumped on the Weezer bandwagon just a bit too late. Oh well, here goes.
I now have 8/9 albums, with Hurley coming in for me on Tuesday. This includes both Deluxe Blue and Deluxe Pinkerton.
I haven't listened to Make Believe yet, as I just got it today, but of the 7 other albums, the only song I've had an overall negative reaction to is Can't Stop Partying (which may be the worst song I've ever heard). Most of the time, if the lyrics are goofy, I'm able to take them as a joke from Rivers (In The Mall falls squarely in this category, for example).
My favorite songs compared to most other fans seem like they don't fit in very well. My favorite Weezer song (and favorite song period) is Say It Ain't So, followed by Thought I Knew at #2 and I Don't Want to Let You Go at #3.
Blue is my favorite album by Weezer, and my least favorite (emphasis is still on the favorite) is probably Green.
My biggest question for everyone else out there is how did you guys like Death To False Metal? It kind of slipped under the radar here, and I was wondering who has listened to it, and what they think of it. I loved Turning Up the Radio (aka Turnin', Turnin', aka 80s Radio, look up Let's Write a Sawng if you don't know the background), Autopilot and I'm a Robot are awesome, and who knew that Weezer would cover Toni Braxton?
Weezer are fun and nerdy, and pretty much everything I've ever looked for in music. I don't know how many other people like them as much as I do, and I don't think it's a large subset of this forum, but they will be my favorite band for years to come. _________________
