When I've played this song, I haven't really noticed any tempo changes, either, so you aren't alone in your belief. Then again, when I was doing my 1-2 month *must FC this now* run on this, I kind of got it ingrained into my body, so maybe I just don't notice anymore.

I never thought the first part was annoying though. I personally hate the middle where the music seemingly gets off beat with the notes. I had to train myself to keep a metronome-like beat going even though I heard something completely different.
