dropping ticks usually means you let go of a hold early or played the note after too early thus losing points
in terms of squeezing, ticks usually means trying to get the x8 multiplier as far into a hold as possible giving you an extra 4 points per tick.
1 tick = 1 point x multiplier
100 ticks in a measure. 1/4 note = 25 ticks... etc...
Note: you do not get extra ticks or lose ticks by playing a note early or late. Only by cutting off a hold do you lose points. |

Damn! I just had an amazing run of WttJ but it's eating away at me cause I screwed up one SP using it too late and so missing the next one and then missing the next to last one so not getting the final activation. I doubt I'll be able to duplicate that run again tonight too. _________________

I played WttJ about 5-6 times earlier today. I'm finally getting the hybrid strumming stuff but i'm still way to inconsistant.
For some reason I can only hit the B-O-B-O-Y trill in the Mississippi queen intro once in like 10 times. kinda makes me mad haha.
oh and i cant wammy very well in gh3 to save my life haha |

Yikes. Thank goodness I found that new path on Gen. Rock. I think I'm a squeeze or two away from optimal, but I never figured out how to squeeze properly anyways. _________________

I had the right path in GR, i know i hit the first squeeze, the 2nd activation was immediate, not sure if i hit the final note or not, but that 3rd activation is where the points are made. I wish guitar hero had an instant replay feature haha or if only i had a video camera to see where i'm screwing up... |

sscotth: ah, apologies for misunderstanding that KoC was previous. I did read, but obviously didn't parse it correctly.
Gee, all my scores for week 3 are way below what everyone posted...

Black Magic Woman - 3rd?!?!?!?! I thought I had sucked. This is amazing!
Generation Rock - to be honest, I uploaded my sightread. I expected worse than 15th
I'm In the Band - exactly a 2.8 multiplier on this gave me a 5-star just barely, which I uploaded. Not bad, considering.
La Grange - I played this 15 times before getting a score I liked. No joke. So I'm fairly happy with 7th.
Overall - Moved up to 8th! I might actually be in playoff contention, provided this week doesn't murder me! _________________
